Your Fishing Adventure Is Closer Than You Think
Getting to the wilderness of Northern Lapland is easier than you might imagine.
Grayling Guide is based in Enontekiö, Northern Finland, close to some of the finest fishing waters in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
Whether you're joining us for a day of fly fishing or a longer wilderness expedition, we'll help you find the most convenient way to reach your destination.
Where We Fish
Our trips take place across Northern Lapland and the fjords of Northern Norway. The best arrival point depends on your chosen fishing adventure. The closest airport to our base is in Kittilä and the closest train station in Kolari.
Arriving by Plane
Flying is usually the easiest option for international visitors.
Kittilä Airport, Finland – Our main recommended arrival point for many Lapland fishing expeditions, with connections through Helsinki and seasonal international flights.
Rovaniemi Airport, Finland – Another option for reaching Finnish Lapland, especially if you're combining fishing with other travel plans and plan to rent a car.
Alta Airport, Norway – A convenient arrival point for our Sea Trout Eldorado expedition and fishing trips in Northern Norway.
Tromsø Airport, Norway – An alternative for some northern fishing destinations especially in March and April.
By Train or Car
If you prefer travelling by train, you can take an overnight train from Helsinki to Kolari and continue north by road. Or we can pick you up from Kolari train station.
Travelling by car is also a good option, particularly if you're already exploring Finland, Sweden or Norway. Rental cars are relatively cheap in summer and driving in Lapland can be relaxing. But remember to watch out for reindeers on road because they are not scared of cars at all.
Airport Transfers – We Can Take Care of the Journey
For all multi-day fishing trips, airport or railway station transportation can be arranged.
Transfers are already included in our complete expedition packages. For other trips, we'll confirm the pickup location and any additional cost when planning your adventure.
You won't need to find your way to a remote fishing location on your own.
