Northern Finland, Sweden and Norway offer trout fishing in an environment very different from the crowded rivers and famous destinations of central Europe.
Here, the landscape is vast.
The rivers are wild.
And some days you may feel like you have the entire wilderness to yourself.
We target wild brown trout in rivers and fell lakes.
The approach changes with the conditions.
Small dry flies can be deadly when trout are feeding on the surface.
At other times, nymphs or streamers can produce better results.
We'll choose the method according to the river or lake rather than forcing the same technique every day.
A trout trip in Lapland is also about the place.
Long walks through the wilderness.
Clear northern rivers.
Changing weather.
Reindeer country.
And the feeling that you're genuinely away from everyday life.
If you're looking for a fishing holiday that combines good fishing with a serious wilderness experience, this is it.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
You don't need to be an expert.

How remote you'd like the experience to be
The main brown trout season generally runs through the summer, with the best period depending on the individual lake or river and current conditions.
Early season (June): changing water levels, small rivers can be really prolific on warm sunny days
Mid-summer (July): long days, strong insect activity and excellent dry fly opportunities also in lakes
Late summer (August & September): end of August can be excellent fishing but in September rivers are closed for trout fishing, still in fell lakes fishing can be really good
