Lake Koutus - a small lake for big trout

We starting to arrange guided fishing trips to Lake Koutus , which is a small lake in Pello. It´s a private lake and you are only allowed to fish with certain guides approved by Metsähallitus, a state-owned enterprise in Finland. And there can´t be more than one fishing group at the same time. Lake Koutus is called Koutusjärvi in finnish.

In Koutusjärvi you can truly feel the serenity of finnish Lapland. Only thing that might disturb the peace is huge brown trout eating your dry flies. Koutusjärvi is famous for its trouts but there's a lot of big white fishes too. Typical size of trout is from 60 to 70 cm. 

In Koutusjärvi you can use a small boat or for example a float tube. There are some possibilities to fish from the shore also. It´s also possiblet to try trolling by a small boat.  You don´t need to bring anything. All the fishing gear and boat is included in the trip.

We recommend you to book night fishing from 7pm to 5 am or even a multi-day trip in June when it´s bright enough to fish even at the middle of the night. Koutusjärvi trip prices start from 990 euros / 10 hours for 1-2 persons. 

Koutusjärvi is still an excellent place to fish when river season ends in autumn. In Sptember and October when water is getting colder trout activates  again. Night fishing is impossible in Autumn. but warm colorful days are must to see in Lapland. 

When you book a trip to Koutusjärvi you know that there won´t be any other groups fishing there.
