In Lapland there´s usually a thick ice on the lakes from November to May. Then you have got a possibility to try arctic ice fishing. We drill holes to the ice and fish through it. In shallow areas we can even see the fish taking the bait. In deeper lakes we use electronics to spot fishes. If you are visiting Finland in winter you don't want to miss a chance to try ice fishing.

Kilpisjärvi ice fishing

In winter many people go to Kilpisjärvi which is famous for its huge arctic char. In Kilpisjärvi area there are plenty off fell lakes where to choose. You can target on arctic char, grayling, or white fish. There are also lakes where you find trout and pikes. You can choose and we'll choose the lake after that.
