Ice fishing in winter
In Lapland there´s usually a thick ice on the lakes from November to May. Then you have got a possibility to try ice fishing for grayling, perch, pike white fish or arctic char. We drill holes to the ice and fish through the ice. In shallow areas we can even see the fish taking the bait. In deeper lakes we use electronics to spot fishes. If you are visiting Finland in winter you don't want to miss a chance to try ice fishing.
Kilpisjärvi ice fishing for arctic char
In winter many people go to Kilpisjärvi, Enontekiö, which is famous for its huge arctic char. In Kilpisjärvi area there are plenty of fell lakes where to choose. You can target on arctic char, grayling, or white fish. There are also lakes where you find grayling, white fish, trout, perch and pike. You can choose what fish you want to target and we'll choose the lake after that. The scenery in the fell area in winter is amazing.
