September in Lapland is really amazing. All the colors in nature are changing and we call it Ruska in Lapland. Evenings start to be dark again and there are good possibilities to spot Northern lights. Dry fly fishing during the days and Northern lights during the nights. What else can you ask for. Most of the rivers are already closed for fishing in September but there are still some rivers that are open and especially first half of September is usually excellent time for fishing.

Rafting and fly fishing for grayling

In September we can recommend combined rafting and fly fishing trip. Big graylings are still eating dry flies and getting ready for the winter. WIth a rubber boat we can also reach those slow moving waters that hold big graylings.

You can also wish for hotel accommodation and we make day trips to the river or stay in a tent the whole time if you like. The choice is yours and we'll just make it happen!
